​The Carabiner is a high speed charging cable, housed in an ultra rugged stainless steel and polycarbonate clip that is unlikely to rust any time soon (the longest time without rust so far, by the ocean, is 18 months according to Nomad).

Nomad makes useful items that double as device chargers, freeing you from the need to always have a traditional charger on hand. At MemoryBeach, we look for well-designed products to help your digital life stay powered up, especially when you’re on the go-go-go-gone.

When co-founders Noah Dentzel and Brain Hahn got started, they wanted to put device chargers into everyday items. This small USB jack clips easily onto a keychain, so you never have to worry about forgetting your charger cord.

• Does the Carabiner charge and sync?

  Carabiner is Apple MFi and USB 2.0 certified to charge up to 2.4A and sync your iPhone or iPad.

• Will the Carabiner metal rust?

  Not all stainless steel alloys are created equally. Nomad reports that they use a high-grade alloy that is very hard to rust. They are located in Santa Barbara, California, and leave their stainless steel Carabiners outside.
